The Gibson FLYING V, FADED WORN CHERRY – The Gibson Flying V was well ahead of its time when it was introduced in 1958, which makes this the most recognizable guitar in the world. Crafted from solid mahogany the Flying V features a pointed headstock, four-ply pickguard and Klusen-style green tuners. The neck is a hybrid between the standard ’50s rounded contour and the ’60s slim-taper profile. Finally adding muscle to the Flying V are Gibson 496R and 500T Humbucker pickups for a timeless rock and roll classic.
